The company traces its roots back to a successful Syracuse, NY retailer by
the name of George Bloch. He began a safe-manufacturing plant in the 1930's.
Once its success was obvious, Edward Mosler made an offer which was accepted,
and he and Henry Bluestone took over the company. They eventually went their
separate ways with Mosler setting up a similar company in Ohio and with
Bluestone starting over in Syracuse in 1949. This new start by Bluestone gave
the company its current name and reputation. The quality and integrity
established by George Bloch, continues today. Modern manufacturing designs allow Gardall to continue to be recognized for it's security, and function.
